The Jim Thorpe Farmer's Market is looking for artisanal local farmers, makers and producers of fine food and goods. Please complete our free online application for immediate consideration.


A Vendor is a producer/grower, artist/crafter or maker of prepared foods who is offering for sale, products that have been raised, prepared or produced by the Vendor, members of his family or employees:

  • Products for human consumption, such as fruits, vegetables, edible grains, nuts, berries, apiary products, maple sugars, syrups, poultry, fish, meat, eggs and products for pet consumption.

  • Non-edible products such as cut or potted flowers or plants, garden or kitchen items, food related products, or natural beauty items.

  • Hand-made items such as pottery, art, photography, fibre arts, wood crafts, iron works, and similar crafts.

  • Prepared foods for on-site consumption to include food trucks and trailers.

Vendor Criteria

  • Preferential choice will be for local and regional farmers, producers, artisan-made goods, hand-made crafts and high quality, healthy prepared foods

  • No re-sale, imported items, kits or manufactured items are allowed

  • Preferential choice given to vendors who choose full or partial season

  • Each vendor is required to carry insurance and provide a Certificate of Insurance naming "Jim Thorpe Community Athletic Association (122 North Ave Jim Thorpe PA 18229)" AND "Mauch Chunk Events LLC (PO Box 4025 Jim Thorpe PA 18229)" as additional insured. Options include ACT Insurance for artists/crafters and FLIP Insurance for farmers and prepared foods.


  • Market fee schedule is as follows:

    • $175 for full season (15 weeks, June 25 through October 1)​
    • $100 for partial season (7 weeks – vendor's choice of dates)

    • $25 per day

  • ​Fee payment will be required upon approval of market application and Jim Thorpe Borough Transient Vendor Permit.

  • Fees can be paid via this website using a credit card, or by check payable to Mauch Chunk Events LLC (PO Box 4025 Jim Thorpe PA 18229). 


  • Upon approval of your Farmer's Market application, all vendors are required to complete and submit a Transient Merchant License Application.

  • Fees for the borough permit are as follows:

    • NO FEE for farmers selling their own products.​

    • NO FEE for any producer in the sale of bread and bakery products, meat and meat products, or milk and milk products

    • NO FEE for veterans

    • $30 per day or $400 per year for artists/crafters and prepared food vendors. 

    • Fee must be submitted to the borough along with the Transient Merchant License Application.


  • Spaces are limited and will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis, based on the best match to our vendor criteria.

  • No electricity, tables or chairs are provided for booths, and each space is approximately 10ft by 20ft. 

  • For the safety of our vendors and customers, tents/canopies must be secured using weights or by using ground anchors. NO EXCEPTIONS! MAUCH CHUNK EVENTS LLC and SAM MILLER FIELD reserve the right to remove your booth for lack of compliance.

  • You are required to keep your space clean and presentable during the Market, as well as clearing your area before leaving.

  • Food vendors for onsite consumption (i.e. food trucks/trailers) must bring one trash receptacle, liners, and maintain them during the course of the Market.  

  • Food vendors MUST use an inverter portable generators with a decibel level not to exceed 53dB.

  • Any booth with cooking facilities needs to have a working fire extinguisher present and visible.

  • All food vendors are subject to inspection.

  • Cancellations and refunds will not be permitted. 

  • Vendors are not permitted to substitute or sub-let their space.

  • Confrontational vendors will not be considered in future events and may not be allowed to return for the remainder of the season. NO REFUNDS! NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • One-week advance written (email) notification is required for no-show vendors.

  • Partial season vendors forfeit their chosen week(s) should they notify Mauch Chunk Events LLC with one week or more prior notice. There will be no refunds or additional weeks available for partial season vendors.

  • Set-Up times will be provided prior to the event, and must be adhered to. Non-compliance will remove you from consideration at future events.  

  • Event is Rain or Shine

  • Goods may not be sold directly from vehicles.

  • Vendors must furnish their own tables, chairs, refrigeration, display equipment and tents or shelter (in case of rain).

  • Vendors are responsible for transporting and displaying food with adequate protection against contamination.

  • All trucks, equipment and displays must be kept clean at all times.

  • Vendors are responsible for and must remove all waste, garbage or refuse from their space after the market closes.

  • Vendors shall not bring any pets or animals into the Market.

  • One vehicle is permitted at each vendor location.
